Citect Web client communication issue

Good day.

I did a web deployment for my project.

On a local PC (on which I developed my project and deployed it in IIS for a web client), I can open a web page and see my screens, and the connection is fine.

In a remote PC, I can also open a web page and see my screens, but the values of my tags do not change, showing a communication error (#COM).

What could be causing this problem?

Thank you all in advance.

  • Hi Nizami,
It could be several things. First is check that your Server machine has [LAN]TCPIP=1, otherwise it won't be listening for or accepting remote client connections. Next check that your remote PC can ping the Server IP and check that ports Citect uses aren't blocked (see the section "Topology > Server Processes" in the help for details). Finally, confirm that the project you deployed to the remote PC and citect.ini (and settings) are what you expected. The project is stored in this location by default: %TEMP%\Citect
And finally, check the steps in this tech note and the attached document to make sure you haven't missed anything: https://softwaresupportsp.schneider-electric.com/#/okmimarticle/docid/tn8941
Best of luck, let us know how you go.
    Kind regards
