Upgrading Citect from 7.5 to 2016.

Hi,

we have a project to be upgraded from Citect 7.5 to Citect 2016 March 2019 update. in the help guide its stated in the upgrade path section the following;

v2015 - If this is your starting version, you need to restore your project to SP1 Patch 6. Compile and run the project in order to restore your data.

does this mean restoring the project to 7.5 SP1 Patch 6?

do i need to do this for an offline upgrade? we need to work on changes to the project as part of the version upgrade.

Hi Ignatius;
As I know, simply backup the project.
Install v2016 and restore the project.
No need for spacial patch.

Hi Ignatius,
This step is only required for online upgrade. This is to ensure that all alarm data is upgraded and synchronised during the upgrade process. If you are doing an offline upgrade, you can in theory go from V5.21 straight to 2018, you would just need to address compile errors to get it working, as certain functionality is deprecated or cicode functions changed, and security features introduced.
