Heroes HQ Community Rules & Guidelines Policy:

 

Welcome to Heroes HQ! We are so glad you are here.

 

This community guideline applies to all viewers, participants, members, users, etc. that view and interact with the Heroes HQ: Operations Control Technical Community.

 

The Community comprises of forums, blogs, training material and additional interactive features for users.

 

Criteria for Membership:

 

Users must be 18 years of age or older to participate via login.

 

By engaging in these forums, you acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. You are accountable for all your contributions and interactions, including any content you post or upload.

 

Furthermore, it is your responsibility to comply with relevant local and national laws, in addition to this Code of Conduct.

 

This community belongs to YOU! Please help us keep this community safe, kind, supportive and useful.

 

Things you SHOULD do in Heroes HQ:

 

  • Be respectful to all community members in all engagements (threads, comments, replies, etc.) within and out of the Heroes HQ platform.
  • Threads should be kept focused and on topic. Please create a new discussion if a new conversation/point arises.
  • Please direct your comments to the individual who posed the original question, rather than responding to other participants.
  • Do not plagiarize or claim content that is not your own – please source and/or give credit to all external/non-personal content.
  • Be helpful! Offer advice, input, and comments of expertise if you can lend thoughts on a particular subject.
  • Profanity, rude behavior, bullying or any sort of lewd behavior will not be tolerated on Heroes HQ. Any profane comments will be removed and will be subject to community member consequences policy (see below).
  • To simplify and reduce redundancy, please search your question first to see if it has already been posted by another user.
  • Speak up! If you come across any form of abuse within the community, please report it. You'll discover "Report abuse" links available on every page of Heroes HQ.

 

Things you should NOT do in Heroes HQ:

 

  • Do not change the topic or divert conversation in a thread topic. Please start a new thread with a new topic of conversation when applicable.
  • Refrain from posting questions that you already have previously posted. You will be notified when another user(s) comments or replies to your question.
  • Cease words or actions from threatening, stalking, insulting, victimizing, or intimidating any individual or group, irrespective of age, gender, disability, ethnicity, nationality, physical appearance, sexual orientation, immigration status, language, political affiliation, race, or religion.
  • Do not encourage other community members to threaten, stalk, insult, victimize or intimidate any individual or group, irrespective of age, gender, disability, ethnicity, nationality, physical appearance, sexual orientation, immigration status, language, political affiliation, race, or religion.
  • Political and religious content are not permitted on Heroes HQ as the topics are considered “off-topic” and not concerning HMI / SCADA Technical community relevance.
  • Content displaying or referring to nudity of any sort depicting complete or partial human nudity, as well as nudity portrayed in cartoons, fantasy artwork, or manga is banned from Heroes HQ.
  • Promotion of sales (of any type or sort) non-AVEVA related are banned from this community.
  • Please do not post chain letters.
  • Do not post any links (non-affiliated with AVEVA and/ or its partner network) that require payment information.
  • External URLS are permitted if they are in context with AVEVA and/or AVEVA’s HMI / SCADA Technical community. (All links must abide to this Community Policy)

 

Consequences “Three-Strike Ban” Policy:

 

  • Heroes HQ has a three-strike policy.
    • ) Warning will be issued by admin to user.
    • ) 2nd Warning will be issued by admin to user with a two (2)-week moderation watch (all actions will need to be approved by moderator before posting).
    • ) After two strike infringements above, user will be removed and banned permanently from Heroes HQ for voiding Heroes HQ Community Rules & Guidelines Policy.

 

Actions that May Result in Ban from Heroes HQ

 

  • Any sort of action or behavior that intends to harm or bring malice to another individual, including minors. Collecting information to harm or bring malice is also prohibited (this includes personal information such as name, e-mail address, home and/or office location address, contact numbers, memberships/universities, etc.)
  • Intruding upon someone's privacy by trying to gather, amass, retain, or disclose private or personally identifiable data, like passwords, account details, credit card numbers, addresses, or other contact information, without their explicit consent or awareness.
  • Any illegal or unwanted content, conversation, or material that infringes upon local or national laws.
  • Violent threats, comments, or language of any aggressive manner that states or incites violence or hacking.
  • Any sort of behavior or links/software provoking or encouraging viruses, spam, malware, etc. aimed toward impairing or stealing others in the community/AVEVA.
  • Impersonation of any sort will be halted. This includes impersonating AVEVA Staff/Employees, admin accounts, AVEVA partners, customers, and any other type of AVEVA-affiliates.
  • Engaging in the unauthorized distribution or sale of AVEVA software or products, or advertising pirated software or products for sale, including the sharing of product keys.
  • Deliberately violating AVEVA’s licensing or terms of condition, for instance, sharing content or links that install third-party kernels or circumvent built-in security measures within the software.
  • Promotion, advertisement, or discussion of ammunition and/or firearms.
  • All spam will be deleted and is prohibited. This includes unsolicited promotion of any sort non-related to AVEVA HMI / SCADA Technical Community. (This also includes non-relevant online surveys, contests, discounts, etc.)
  • Trying to influence the forums or other community elements, such as ranking and reputation systems, by breaching any provisions of this Community Policy, collaborating with other members on voting, or employing multiple profiles.
  • International money transfers dialogue
  • Any content submitted via automated devices or software, without the written consent of AVEVA.
  • Reusing any content owned or operated by AVEVA without written consent.

 

Be Vigilant, Be Cautious – Help us keep Heroes HQ Safe for All!

  • Be cautious when accepting direct help from another community member. Refrain from Remote Assistance if outside of AVEVA Technical Support (& Partner Support, etc.)
  • Be alert for fake profiles and scam members. While Heroes HQ will vigilantly monitor for spam, please report any abuse or suspicious behavior to Heroes HQ Admin or e-mail heroeshq@aveva.com. (AVEVA Employees will have a badge in their profiles (Moderator – AVEVA Staff))
  • Stay reserved with your personal information – any personal information you share via threads, comments, and your outward-facing profile will be publicly available on Heroes HQ public platform.
  • Do not post any identification information such as driver's license number, phone number, social security, credit cards, addresses etc.

 

Conclusion and Cancellation of Membership:

 

AVEVA retains the authority, solely at its discretion and without obligation, to examine and delete user-generated services and content without prior notification, and to remove content and accounts. Additionally, AVEVA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to permanently prohibit participants or discontinue community access.
