Telemetry Server to InTouch

Application Server as PCS IData client can directly talk to AVEVA Telemetry Server as PCS IData provider. However, InTouch does not have the PCS IData client implemented. So, InTouch needs to use OI Gateway as bridge to communicate with AVEVA Telemetry Server. 

• Set up AVEVA Telemetry Server as OPC DA or UA server
• Configure OPC DA or UA devices in OI Gateway
• Set up an Access in Suitelink in InTouch talking to OI Gateway

You need to check the online help of AVEVA Telemetry Server you are using and see if it supports OPC UA. 

However, according to the online help of Schneider Electric's version of Telemetry Server, it supports OPC UA.

Telemetry Server is an extension exclusive to System Platform and it is not intended for use with standalone InTouch HMI.

Yes, there is an OPC DA server interface but please consider that PCS/IData is the only intended communication channel for Telemetry Server and we cannot guarantee that the OPC DA interface will work correctly with late/buffered data. We intend to depracate the OPC DA interface in a future version since it was never intended to be used as the primary communication channel.
