Does Historian Client Web support Aveva identity manager?

Hi,

We have a Historian 2023 R2 (Tier 2) configured as SMS, and Azure AD as federated identity provider. I have confirmed that I can add external groups in the configurator.

I was expecting that the web client would invoke the Aveva identity manager with this configuration. But its still the Windows integrated authentication dialog showing up.

When you open Historian Client Web, you may be asked to log in. Log in with your SSO or Windows credentials. If your environment is using the connected experience, logging in with Windows integrated login will only give you access to demo mode. Demo mode has a 5 minute limit.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I'm familiar with the User Guides.

I'm suspecting that SSO (External Identity Provider) for the Historian clients (Web, Trend, Query) is only available if connected experience is configured, and thus only for license mode "Operational Control".

Would be nice if anyone can confirm.
