Richard - did you check not only the times, but the time zones? 

What PLC are you connecting to and what is the time on that?

It is Schneider M580 PLCs and there is a possibility the RTCs in them were at their default date of some time in 1980 but I don't have confirmation of this. This has now been fixed. The time zones were also incorrect in the PLC which has also been fixed. Even so I would have thought the OPC server (OFS) would have time stamped the values with its time. Have asked if the issue is still present now.

So it's typically one of two things - the data source (PLC) is not providing the right time and PLC is a type that can propagate the VTQ information, as opposed to the OI server providing the time stamp.

The other thing it could be is time zone settings as the data is normally stored in UTC.  Sometimes people will mess up the timezone, but put the same time, so the offset in UTC ends up being wrong. 

4 months though?  that seems very specific given now that we have another user mentioning it below.  I'd call in to support.
