UDT usage in Bind List of SQL Access Manager

Hello,

We are planning to have a tag structure with UDTs having member tags. And we would like to use them in an SQL table to be able to use with SQLGrid.

In order to make SQL configuration we have to create a bind list. And the problem is that we cannot add a UDT member tag as an item. It is prompted as an invalid tagname. When we go to "Select Tag" dialog UDTs are mostly not listed. Rarely we see that UDTs are listed in "Select Tag" but even we select it from the list it does not work.

Any feedback?

thanks,

Ramazan

  • I believe this is a functional gap for UDTs in the current version of InTouch. We aim to address this in a future version as we modernize SQL integration and expand on UDT capabilities. I'm not sure if I this is a viable solution for your requirement, but it is typically more flexible to integrate SQL via a script in a symbol (where the script languge is more powerful) but it may of course be a more complex solution.
