We have just come up against an issue with the Area designation. This property appears to still be limited to 255 areas per project. In a small single site project I am sure that 255 is a wonderful upper bound but we build multi-site systems with multiple clusters. It would be really helpful if the Area property were significantly expanded to allow it to span Customer-->Site-->Building-->Location and maybe more. An unsigned integer would work nicely. I recognize that this may seem redundant with the capability of equipment design but as I understand it Area is the only filter that links user privilege with alarm screens so we need a lot more range than is present in the current limit. Is there any consideration to expanding the limits on this property.?
