Updating Citect 7.4 to Citect 2016

Hi,

At one site we are running Citect 7.4 on Windows Server 2008 R2 currently connected to 4 clients. This needs upgrading to Citect 2016 on  a new Win Server 2016. My question is: How is the conversion going to work in this case? Would you also need buying 4 clients licences as well in addition to the Server licence for Citect 2016?

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Hello
    I think you need:
    - A Windows Server 2016 R2 License
    - Note1: 1 Citect SCADA License 2016 (if the 4 clients represent a single CPU with 4 screens on both sides): There is only one license for this CPU.
    Note2: But if the 4 customers each represent one (CPU with its screen) then, you need one license for each;
    of which 4 licenses.
