Upgrade Citect Scada 7.2 SP3 to Citect Scada 2018

Hi Guys,

Can someone please advise to upgrade Citect Scada 7.2 SP3 (Dongle License) on Windows Server 2008 R2 (Physical Box) TO Citect Scada 2018 (Soft License) on Windows Server 2016 VM?

Can we just installed SP5 and then install/Move directly to Citect Scada 2018?

Do i need to upgrade/update Project Files in Sequence from 7.2 to Citect 2018?

For e.g. below?

Upgrade Citect project from Citect v7.2 through each version up to Citect 2018.

• Individual versions required as follows:

o Citect v7.3
o Citect v7.4
o Citect 2015
o Citect 2016
o Citect 2017
o Citect 2018

Check the Installation Guide.pdf on the Citect 2018 install disc. It explains the upgrade process. Basically, you need to install Citect 7.20 Service Pack 5a and run it to update the alarm save files, then you can back up the project and restore it directly in Citect 2018 and go through the upgrade process. You do not need to upgrade to intermediate versions.
