Create Historian Data Source

Hi everyone. I just downloaded Citect Historian 2016 to check. I am using Citect SCADA 2016. When I try to add Data Source based on my SCADA project I get error "Could not connect primary data source 127.0.0.1". I remember few years ago I managed to connect using Vijeo Citect 7.30 and Historian 4.40. Any suggestion to solve this issue?

  • You should not require AllowLegacyConnections=1 setting, this is only required for very old CTAPI Clients. The Citect Historian has V7.50 version of the CTAPI dlls, so it only requires Remote=1 to be set. Also, from V7.20 and above, the AllowLegacyConnections parameter has been deprecated and is replaced by [LAN]EarliestLegacyVersion parameter.
