You must use version 5.31 or greater to convert this project before upgrading

Hello All,

I was modifying graphics in my existing project created in Version 2016 with Jun 2019 update. After some modification when i restart Citect studio i am getting this error 

"WARNING: Cannot convert 'Project_Name' to version version 8.0 format.

You must use version 5.31 or greater to convert this project before upgrading !!"

After this error i'm not able to modify or edit any configuration or even access my project. I have to do same things in old backup again.

Have any one faced this kind of issue?

Let me know anyone know resolution.

  • Make sure you didn't delete the global symbol library from your project. Look for global.ctl in your project folder. If it is missing, use Windows Explorer to copy it from the Example project or another project. I believe this library was added to all projects in v5.31 so if it is missing, Citect assumes your project must be older than 5.31.
