M340 String variable read via Modnet protocol

I want to read string variable tag from M340 using modnet protocol using 40001 addressing.

I know that string datatype consume 8 INT.

I tried it and i am able to read only 2 character only. I can see 4 character in PLC watch list but not in SCADA. even i am not able to write more then 2 character.

Any hint on this ?

The general rule for reading strings in Citect is to define the string as an array of registers (2 ASCII characters per Modbus register). Remember to terminate the string text in the PLC with a NULL character (register value 0).
