Device Format Definition

Hello All,

We need to use Custom 1 data field in the device format (logging alarm).

{DATE,12}^t{TIME,8}^t{MILLISEC,3}^t{TAG,25}^t{NAME,20}^t{AREA,20}^t{DESC_,43}^t{CATEGORY,10}^t{STATE,10}^t{TYPE,20}^t{CUSTOM1,5}

The device format definition is limited to 120 chars. There is an away to solve this issue?

    Like said in another thread, this Forum is a safe place to share experience and knowledge and tap into the wider Citect community to help solve problems and use best practice when implementing projects.

    I acknowledge that Citect SCADA as a product does have some issues (but don't they all!). Some of these are legacy design issues and technical debt which aren't easy to solve overnight. But we are listening and doing the best with the limited resources we have to make the product better.

    What isn't appreciated is your negative tone. Please keep your comments helpful and constructive.
