Show status of CitectHistorian data service in Citect Runtime

Does anybody know how to get the status of CitectHistorian's data/event service in Citect Runtime?

I'm using CItect 2016 with CitectHistorian V4.6 in different PC.

You can define an event to set a heartbeat variable. If you detect that it doesn't change anymore in Citect you know there is a problem with one of the services of Historian (could be both). See TN9289 for the task to write to a tag.
