Citect 2016 Configuration and Troubleshooting

Hello Citect Experts,

I am having PC as follows :-

OS Details

Windows Server 2012  and SQL Server Express 2012

I installed Citect SCADA 2018 and configured some Tags with Historize "True".

After Installation of Historian, Configured Historian Steps (I configured as per Manual),I can see tags in Historian.SQL with "sa" user. These tags also shown in Tag_List table in SQL DB.Now I started SCADA and Historian data service 

I am having following questions regarding Citect Historian 2016 :-

1. How to check tags and alarms logged in SQL?

2.Tables names in DB (I can see two DBs in SQL)

3.How to delete data source (when deleting it shows as it is used by Historian)?

4.How to delete Historical Tag (when deleting it shows as it is used by Historian)?

5.When I added tag in scada with Historize "True".How I can synchronise with current data source? 

6.How to delete the databases?

7.Backup and Restore procedures for databases.

I am also using Dream Report for reporting purpose.

Please reply as soon as possible with some documentation.

  • You can’t buy new Citect Historian licenses anymore. Are you upgrading from an older version?
    1. Use for instance Enquire to check if anything is logged. Did you also set the Historize property of the alarms to TRUE?
    2. There is a config and a data database
    3. Remove the items from the Historian folder, then delete datasource
    4. See 3
    5. Right click datasource and re-import datasorce
    6. Use SQL Server Management studio?
    7. Check the Help
