Primary is offline

Hi!

I want to know if my redundant pc is working and my primary pc is off.
and this with a cicode function on my redundant pc.
can it matter to me on which pc it works i / o server

  • If you want to know if the computer is switched on you can use the CTICMP-protocol aka the ping protocol. It can check if an IP address is online.

    There is no such thing as a redundant pc. Citect has 5 different tasks (I/O, Alarm, Trend, Report and Client). An I/O Server can have primary as well as standby communication channels. This can be used for load balancing. If you want to know from a client side of view if the I/O Server with the primary communication channel is online, you can use the IODeviceInfo with type 3.
