Introducing the new Citect SCADA ideas portal!

AVEVA is pleased to announce the introduction of a new customer voice & ideas portal for Citect SCADA, providing you – our customers, partners, integrators and other stakeholders – direct access to submit, view, and vote on ideas based on what’s important for you and your business.

Currently this is NOT linked to the AVEVA Support Site, so you will need to register for access. Create your new account here (https://citectscada.ideas.aha.io/portal_users/new) by entering your name and email address.

If you have any issues during registration, please let me know.

After registering, you will receive an email from support@aha.io (please ensure this domain isn’t blocked by your spam filter) which will direct you to verify your email address and configure your password.

Once your email has been verified you will be granted access to the ideas portal (https://citectscada.ideas.aha.io/ideas) – bookmark this location for future reference!

To submit a new idea, simply click on the “Add a new idea” button at the top, and enter information as requested – the more information you can provide the better!

Ideas are visible to all users and can be sorted using the ‘Recent’, ‘Trending’ and ‘Popular’ tabs across the top, and can also be filtered by Status and/or Category down the left-hand side.

Each user is provided with 7 votes that you can use to give “thumbs-up” to an existing idea that you’d like to see implemented – you can assign up to 5 of your votes to a single idea. Votes can be retracted at any time, and are automatically returned to you once an idea has been implemented.

Feedback from votes will help us prioritize, but they are only one source of input into the roadmap. All ideas are welcome and will be evaluated; please don’t think that your idea won’t get considered just because it doesn’t have many votes.

To kick things off I've added a few ideas to capture some things we have already under development, and look forward to gathering your feedback through this new ideas portal.

  • I'm glad to see this forum come back. Thanks!

I didn't see any way to subscribe to get notifications when there are new posts in a specific category (or in all categories). Does this site do new post notifications or is that feature coming? I see you can subscribe to individual existing idea posts.

Seven votes does not sound like much when there were previously hundreds of ideas posted and it may take years for an idea to be implemented (when your vote gets 'refunded'). Also, when I posted a new idea, it used up one of my votes. If anything, posting an idea should give you an extra vote, not penalize you. I don't want to have to vote against my own ideas so I can vote for someone else's good idea.

Have all the suggestions from the Ideas@Citect forum been either implemented or dismissed? If not, I would like to re-submit some of my previous ideas, but I don't have them written down. Is there any way to review our old posts?
