Alarm Descriptions not updating in Runtime

Hi,

I'm on site commission a project right now. We're running Vijeo Citect 7.5.

I've updated a number of alarm descriptions in the digital alarm database via excel. I've checked the alarms in the project editor and the alarm descriptions are updated there. For some reason when I compile and go to Runtime, none of the alarm descriptions have updated. I didn't have this problem when I was testing in our office, only while running the program at site.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

  • Setting the parameter certainly fixes the issue, but it also introduces some side effects. Please read the parameter help on that.

    If you don't want to set the parameter then you could consider deleting the alarm database (while Citect is not running), but then you would lose all your alarm history.

    I really wish there was an option without side effects though.
