Confused about Citect.ini file distribution in distributed system

I have an CItect engineering VM that deploys to Primary SCADA VM, Secondary SCADA VM and two (2) Terminal Server (Control Clients). Does each .ini file needs to be updated in its individual machine or its gets changed when me deploy the project.

I know that .ini file resides in ...\Citect2018R2\Config folder. But I also see that there is a .ini file in ..\Citect2018R2\User\Project folder too

Would appreciate the help in understanding Citect ini file with respect to deployment

  • You should define Profiles (under Topology within your project. A Profile is a predefined ini file. In the configuration of the deployment computers you can define the profile to be used on a computer. You have to define at least 3 profiles, two for the servers and one for the clients.
