Data Logging of Variables (PLC Devices OR Disk Devices) to Excel (.csv OR .xlsx)

Hello Everyone, hope you are enjoying your holidays. What is the best method, recommended by Aveva, to log data in CitectSCADA 2018 to excel in either .csv format or .xlsx format based on a trigger (either periodic or manual trigger). I understand that DDE is obsolete so am not keen on using it. Please advise. Thanks in advance. Happy New Year!

Hi Jalaj;
DDE is used to send data to an open EXCEL. you can use "SendKeys" for this.
.CSV is for creating a file that can be opened by Excel. It is very easy to create a device for this. this is preferred for logging.
