Client Configuration after Firewall

Hello all,

My architecture has redundant SCADA Server installed in 2 separate PC. Now I want to configure Installed client in Customer network via firewall. If there were internet client then its easy to configure one web server and do port and address forwarding in firewall and its done job. But we have to configure installed client, so where this too be done ?

Right now I have configure address forwarding from each client IP to both SCADA server IP, Is it correct way or am I missing something?

  • Are you sure you need to use different IP addresses? Normally, you just need to open the correct ports for Citect on the firewall. See the Server Processes help page for a list of default port numbers. Check your alarm/report/trend/IO server definitions to make sure your project doesn't specify custom port numbers.

If you are going through a router and the server IP addresses are being mapped to public IP addresses, then you would have to use the AddressForwarding parameters on the client to override the server IP addresses defined in the project. Check the help page and make sure you define every server name/port, including the AlarmDBPort.
