Citect trend on 2 Runtime Window

Hi Guys.

I am facing this issue in the Process analysis trends, if anyone faced the type of issue it would help me using the Citect 2018.

I created 4 Process analysis trends on a single page and tried to share a page for 2 monitors and creating 2 runtimes windows. 1 runtime Window is running on 1 monitor and another runtime on another display.

Both the runtime window shows the same data but the trend displayed only on the active monitor, which is set under setup->screen profile. Another runtime window set in another monitor is not showing the trends.

Kindly help me out.

  • Hi Dineshkarthic,

I'm not quite following your description. Can you draw a picture or something to illustrate what you expect vs what you get?

When you run the Computer Setup Wizard, the screen profile page will allow you to select the startup page for each screen. I assume you want to select your process analyst trend page for both?

    cheers,

  • Hi Bradley,

    Nice to meet u.

I have uploaded screenshots of one trend from both the runtime.

At current, I'm running both runtime windows on one monitor.

I have also attached the image of the screen profile page sir. I hope that you got clear images of my issue in trends...

  • Hi Dineshkarthic,

Yes this makes sense. I'm not sure what is going on though.

It looks like the pen info (scale etc.) has come through but the data has not. That could indicate the trend server is overloaded. But since each of your 8 PA's only have 2 pens on them that shouldn't be an issue. What settings do you have for: (defined on PA Main property page)
    - Data request rate (default is 1000)
    - Info request rate (default is 30 seconds)
    - Number of samples (default is 300)

Also Make sure your trend server and client processes are not running at 100%

As a test, I modified the Example project to use a screen profile and loaded the 'Process Analyst' page on both screens. The trends came through fine.

You might have to send this one through to support for further assistance.

    regards,
