server password error on run-time manager

Hi there,

I get the following error on my run-time manger, what does it mean:

“The user must have access to the server password to run as part of the trusted domain”

thanks,

  • I believe this means Citect is trying to run a server process, or is a client with the server password configured, and the current windows user is not a member of the Citect.ServerUsers group.

    Try the following:

    • Add the logged in Windows user to the following local security groups:
      • Citect.Engineers
      • Citect.LocalUsers
      • Citect.ServerUsers
    • If you are instead adding a Windows Group to these groups, make sure you're running the latest Update as there was a bug which meant that only individual user accounts added to these groups would be recognised.
    • Reboot the PC after making changes to these groups for changes to take effect
    • Run the Configurator and make sure a server password is configured under Citect SCADA > Computer Setup
