Citect SCADA 2018 V8.1 and Bailey Infi 90 DCS compatibility with Ethernet CIU's ?

I have Citect SCADA 2018 V8.1 with a Bailey Infi 90 DCS system installed for 25 years now and looking to upgrade from our original INICT01 (CIU 01) which are serial port comms to Citect Server using the bailey serial port Driver without issue.

the new CIU's i am investigating are Ethernet comms, are there any other Citect uses out there that have done this upgrade and are willing to share their experience pro's and cons and any issues i need to be aware of ?

interested in the following,

- what driver to use for Ethernet comms

- compatibility issues ?

- known bugs ?

  • If your DCS service provider is ABB, then they'll pitch their own equivalent as a competing offer, but approach Rovisys directly for a comparison and to establish whether they can work with the models you're talking about.
I was using System Platform, but it's kind of irrelevant. Citect has OPC drivers as well, so you can just use those rather than the device-specific ones.
