I wanted to reach out in advance of the regular Monthly Update release cycle next week and confirm that we will not be releasing Monthly Updates for Citect SCADA 2018 / 2018 R2 for June 2021, however Monthly Updates will resume on schedule in July 2021.
In the interest of full transparency, our primary reason for making this decision is because there were a very low number of fixes eligible for the June 2021 Updates, and I thought it most effective to focus the full R&D team on further fixes (as well as Plant SCADA 2020 R2 development, more on that later), rather than divert some of our efforts to the release process for Updates that only introduce a single fix. This wasn't without consideration for the customer/s who now have to wait a few more weeks for their specific fix, and for that I do apologise.
In addition, as noted, the release of Plant SCADA 2020 R2 is very near, and I wanted to ensure that were assigning all available resources on its release so we can publish it as soon as possible - currently targeting the end of June. You'll be the first to know once the new Plant SCADA release is available in the coming weeks!
