Error Communication To M340 device via OFS

Hello Citect SCADA Community,

I have a problem when configuring the communication between my SCADA project and my PLC M340 via OFS OPC, I did all the steps and I can read and write from OFS to M340, but when arriving at I/O Device configuration I get this error "CiOPCTagBrowse",

Update: the OPC server is running but I still have the same problem !!

Please help,

Regards.

  • The step that fails in your screen shots is the importing of tags using Unity Speedlink to OFS.
It looks like the OPC server did not install correctly and is missing a registry entry. Perhaps a re-install of OFS will correct this problem.
Version v3.62 should work fine, but it is never wrong to update OFS to the latest version, like Nuno mentioned.

Or maybe you need administrator rights on your machine, or there is a problem (bug) that has to do with the French language used on your machine. Best to contact Support if this is the case.

If it keeps failing, please skip the import step, like Nuno mentioned. Best to create a single test tag manually after completing the wizard, to test the communication.
Later on, you could try to import the OFS tags again, or try a different method of importing tags. for example via an Ecostruxure Control Expert (Unity Pro) export file.
