S7TCP Driver Error: Unit offline

S7TCP driver version V2.01.01 randomly goes off line then shortly later returns.
Citect 2018 R2 Update 5.

Error: Unit offline   STATUS   000c    S7TCP          UHT                Error_in_CMD-17   16   Generic 000012 Driver 00000023 (0x00000017)

Talking to a new Siemens TIA V16 S7-1518 via Gigabit switch.

Any ideas what to try to fix?

  • S7TCP driver was working quite well. No tag errors reported.
    But every 1 to 6 hours would randomly go off line.

    Citect Support Changes made to fix it were:
    - S7TCP driver was up todate. But the TCPIP driver wasn't.
    - Added S7TCP setting in citect.ini file and extended the drivers default values for
    ConnectionTimeout
    ReplyTimeout
