I/O Device Offline-line Cannot talk

I'm using Citect Scada 2018 R1 Update 16. i have this alarm on the hardware alarm for one of our IO devices. i noticed the IO device can only talk to the Secondary server .It use to function well though. i have checked the I/O Devices configuration priorities and they are set the same as other I/O devices; primary 1 and secondary 2. The affected I/O device is Control Logix 5555 however the other I/O devices which  are working perfectly are GE RX3i controllers and Allen Bradly Micrologix . 

Can anyone assist me.

  • Can you ping it?  Some of the controllers don't like to be pinged, so you would have to use psping by sysinternals to verify it.  You could also swap the IP Addresses of the primary and Standby to see what that would do.
