Equipments Editor Issue On Vijeo Citect V7.40

Morning

I have a weird issue with a Vijeo Citect V7.40 application. In this application we had created several type of equipments like " motor", "valve" etc...

Recently I wanted to modify one of the equipment type and I've noticed that all our equipments have "vanished" in the editor while the xml files are still present inf the user folder. All equipments tags are still here and I can modify the projet without error but I can't modify the equipment cause there's nothing to edit in the editor window.

Is it a known issue with Citect and what could be the solution ?

Hi JC,

This is quite an old version now, it is highly recommended to upgrade to a version that is in support (v8.20 or v8.30).

You could try launch the Equipment Editor as Administrator (right click and run it from Windows Explorer as Administrator) in case it is an access issue. Has any security changes been made to the project folder?

Another thing you could try is to create a new project, manually copy the XML files into this directory, and create Equipment Types / Model again just for a few templates and instances.
