Disabling Events in ini File in Runtime

For the below screen shot, can the parameter “Enable Events on this Computer” be toggled in Runtime so that it changes on next startup ?

Would like to be able to control this for user preference without allowing operator to the INI file via wizard or otherwise.

i know this is unconventional, but i have a good reason for this.

Yes you can. Use Cicode function ParameterPut("Event", "Server", '0") to disable the event server at runtime for the current display client. So there will be no event at the next startup.
