Import Data from a file to a trend

Hello all,

What is the best way to import data from a file and insert it into a trend?

The file is like:

TagValue; DATE; TIME

3,12 06/01/2022 00:15

4,1 06/01/2022 00:30

8,6 06/01/2022 00:45

9,7 06/01/2022 01:00

.....

8,6 06/01/2022 23:30

9,7 06/01/2022 23:45

In 2005 Eric Black wrote a cicode script called TrendImportCSV.ci and uploaded it to the Citect Toolbox forum (https://softwareforums.aveva.com/citect_community/cit-toolbox/f/toolbox/24075/trend-import-csv).

It basically does what you want to accomplish, only you might want to adapt it to your specific file format.

The magic function in this script for inserting trends into Citect is TrnSetTable(). Look it up in the Help for further information.
