Local variables in server+several clients license.

Hi colleages! I want to know how to work with local variables using a license with 1 server and 2 or more clients. Do they take the same value in all the computers? I use them to describe comments, span values,... in a user-trend page. If I open this page in a computer, and I open this same page in other computer commennt are wrong.

AFAIK, persisted memory tags don't count towards your point count.

As the name implies, Local Variables are local for each and every Citect process and/or machine. If you want to use variables across multple clients and servers you have to use normal Variable Tags. You can define a Persistent Memory I/O Device for that purpose. Only drawback is that these tags count as I/O points in your license (if I recall correctly).

Persisted I/O (memory devices), local variables and disk I/O variable tags will not count towards the dynamic point count, unless they are written to by an external source (via OPC, DDE, ODBC, or CTAPI). For example, if you use an OPC client to write to a local variable, each local variable will be counted once the first time it is used.
