VERY long Equipment Update times

Hey Guys,

Problem just began yesterday. Went int the equipment editor. Made a few changes to reflect the tag changes in the PLC. Clicked "Update Equipment"
And for the next 8 hours....the equipment update ran.

I've already looked, and incremental update is checked

Normally this process takes a few seconds to a few minutes! Today, same deal. It looks to be generating the tagDB from scratch.

Did a reboot. Restarted the environment.

Anything else we can check? Not being able to mess with it for 8 hours is just not going to work for us.

Support suggested I packup the project and deploy it to another Citect installation.

I did that. It takes maybe 2 hours instead of 8, but realistically, if no changes are made, shouldn't it only take a few seconds?

They also suggested I switch to the example project, and do an equipment update there both full and incremental then switch back.

Problem still persists and it is hindering our development.

Hey Antonio,

No official case number yet, responded to one of the reps with this issue late in the day frida. Already had an email trail going from another case/project. Was sort of a hail mary hoping to get a hint that would bring us some success.

Will have an official one soon though!
