Floating License Manager

Hi,

If I uninstall the Floating License Manager v2.8, does the license will also be remove?

The lmadminSchneider service was not able to run, i tried to manually run it but failed, that's why I will try to re-install the FLM 2.8.

Anybody has an idea to solve this problem? This problem causes to have Software Protection Failure.

Thanks to all

  • Hi  ,

I believe that the correct procedure would be to return the license to the Schneider Server before uninstall. But I do beleive that residual files do remain when you uninstall the product.

It would be good to reach out to AVEVA Support to trouble shoot this issue.

I'm not aware of any issues with FLM v2.8, specifically in regards to what you have reported, the lmadmin service not able to start.

Check the logs for FLM, check Windows Event viewer for errors. Perhaps there is a conflict on port number?

Wishing you the best of luck resolving this issue.

    Kind regards

    Olivier

  • Thank you Oliver,

We resolved the issue by changing the account how the lmadmin run. Upon install, in the services, it Log on as: "This account" we change it to "Local System Account" and it run.

    Again, Thanks to all

    Felix
