Vijeo Citect redundancy

Hello,

My customer is asking me to add a second server (redundant) to my current Vijeo Citect server (standalone installation). Do I need to upgrade the key of the old installation?  Do I need to consider new ones for both servers to startup the system redundancy?

  • Hi  ,

I recommend you reaching out to your local sales contact (sounds like Schneider Electric might be your distributor) and discuss the options.

You can use the existing Full License type for one of the servers, but will require an additional license key (also Full license) to setup a redundant system. You should also consider if there will be any remote control nodes or view only operator work stations. These will require Control Client or View Only Client licenses.

There will also be some configuration changes required to your project, but it is fairly straight forward. See the help topic "Redundancy" under Topology section.
