Hi - looking to drum up some support to get a rational solution for a new "feature" introduced into Citect/PlantSCADA in one of the updates a few months back.
Basically we now get hundreds of warnings regarding use of the reserved word "Area" because we use that as a container name for equipment:
eg LI12345 is Plant1.Line2.Area.Sump.Level as the equipment hierarchical name
I have been through the support channel and suggested an option to ignore the use of reserved words in the equipment contained / hierarchical name, but got a poor justification based on a general "it could cause problems".
Also got some not-very-useful workarounds like changing the container name to "Area1" 
Fundamentally - if Citect/PlantSCADA can't handle me using any name I want as a container name, it is pretty broken as a product.
So - is there really a significant issue with the use of reserved words in equipment hierarchical names? Or is this just a blanket "solution" in the product for some actual places where using reserved words may be problematic?
Interested to hear the feedback and if anyone else would like to have their warnings back to being useful diagnostics again (instead of haystack that may have a needle in it, or may not).
