"Aborting Startup..." Error on RDP Clients - Version 8.30 Update 05

If I try to bring on all 15 RDP runtime clients at once, I always get 3-4 that get an "Aborting Startup..." error. If I press OK, it starts up fine. If I gradually bring all the clients online, this does not happen, so it seems to be tied to all of them coming on at once. Any ideas?

  • It is a known issue with 2018 R2 and 2020 R2. It is because ArchestrA Data Store service (ADS) is unable to cope with a large number of concurrent clients for requesting the protected settings on start-up. It has been resolved in the coming-up release (v8.40).
