Field Device w/Redundant Comm Channels

Is there a way in Citect to have multiple (two) different ethernet based communications to a field device? We have radios out to some devices and are now adding fiber. We'd like to leave the radio as a backup.

Yes, you can. Simply configure the fiber based device as high priority while the radio based device is low priority. IO server will always acquire the field data from the highest priority device whenever…
