Time records in Alarms

Hi!

I have an application (Citect2018) connected to 2 different PLCs by OPCUA, there are disk variables too. When an alarm happens, the date/time data in Alarm and Summary Page depend on the origin PLC. If is disk variable it is OK, if is the first PLC the time appears is over 7 hours delayed, and alarms from the second PLC have data august 2018!

How can I sincronise? Because in other applications (with OPC DA or direct driver, there is no problem!)

  • Hi   , I hope you have managed to synchronize your PLC times effectively.  The mechanism to do this will depend on the type of PLC you have.

    I am curious about your system, if you don't mind, could you tell me what sort of alarms you are triggering?  Are they timestamped alarms?

    Hi Stuart! I apologize to may delay, someone in Support has tried to help me ... and nothing at all. I have noticed that if I run this application in my laptop, there isnn't syncronization, but this same application in plant computer is synchronized, so I have forgotten.

    The alarms I triggering is just a simple digital signal, but I wanted to delayed in Citect, because I have not software to change PLC program.

    Your post prompted me to investigate this as it has some bearing on another project I am working on.  Short of being able to synchronise your PLC source, the only other work-around I can think of at the moment would be to convert your digital alarms to either advanced or multi-digital alarms as these types of alarms do not take their timestamp from the data source, but rather from the IO server.  I hope this helps.
