v7.50 client unable to see alarms from v8.0 server?

I just upgraded a Citect server from v7.50 to v8.0. The clients are still on 7.50 as their licences are not in support. I upgraded the server to 8 because the licence wouldn't be recognised in v7.50 in Windows 10 for some reason..

I reduced the LegacyVersion ini param down to support v 7500 and this worked, but I can't see any alarms in the two clients. I can see them in the server's client. What could be the issue? the Table tran says "No Access". How can I fix this? Cheers!
