What is the error message if you click on "Details"? In most cases, users experience DCOM authentication error 80070005.
Try to review your COM/DCOM settings in comparison with the ones recommended in the following blog.
If your OPC DA client is remote, you need to also review DCOM Hardening enabled by Windows Updates.

Moreover, you need to upgrade OPC Explorer to v5.3 that supports DCOM Hardening.
