Plant SCADA 2023 R2 (8.5) kernel password ?

In new Plant SCADA 2023 R2 (8.5) it is apperaed a password on kernel ?

In which windows group add current user to login to kernel ?

    Please refer to Example project. A new field, Kernel Access is introduced in v8.50 in Roles table as shown below. You simply add "No Access", or "Read Only" or "Full Access" to the existing roles in your project. If not configured, the default is "No Access"

    For the client process in the desktop mode, you can enable Kernel on Menu option. The kernel command will appear in the dropdown menu at runtime once a user with kernel access logs in. Clicking on kernel command will automatically launch the client kernel window without login prompt regardless if the signed in user is Windows or Citect user. As for server processes including the client process in the service mode, only Windows users are supported to access kernel regardless if they are running in service or desktop mode.
