I'm currently testing an Upgrade from Citect 2018 to Plant Scada 2020 R2.
my test machine was installed as a development machine.
i get the following issue on attempting openingPlant SCADA Studio, i have done many upgrades before from Citect V5 and never had this issue, Plant Scada security seems to have changed this.
what do i do to correct this?
is it to do with this ?

For the first issue, make it sure that the current Windows logon user is included in Windows User Group - SCADA.ConfigUsers, as shown below.
For details, please refer to the section of "Windows User Groups and Security Roles" in Installation Guide.pdf that should be available in your installation media.
As for the second issue, you cannot configure Encryption with option of Enable Encryption as System Management Server (SMS) is NOT configured yet. Using Encryption requires SMS is enabled. SMS has been introduced since Citect SCADA 2018R2 playing the key role in Certificate Management and Token services in a Plant SCADA system. Only one SMS is required in your SCADA system.
