How is the alarm history is mapped to Historian events? How to view them? I'm using 2023 versions for both SCADA and Historian. Historize is set to true and I see the the values counter increment in the historian administrator for every alarm event(On, Off, Ack). However, I see no new 'event' tags when browsing with historian client tools(Trend, SQL). Does anyone know where I can get more info on this?
You could use Historian client, Query, to retrieve alarm data from Plant SCADA. The problem is that alarm tags will not be populated in Tag Picker unless the same tags are also configured as trends and logged in Historian.
So, you will have to manually add an alarm tag in SQL Tab and then switch to Data Tab to view the query result. Note that the tag name is case sensitive and should include the cluster context, as shown below.
You could manipulate the start and end dates in the query as shown below.
