Citect/PlantSCADA to a GE Mark 5 Control System

Has anyone ever connected Citect/PlantSCADA to a GE Mark 5 Control System?

  • Hi Greg,

My knowledge of GE Mark V is zero, but from a quick Google search I believe it to be a control system for gas turbines, composed of controllers and HMI software. The HMI software might be some Cimplicity based software.

My understanding is that direct communication to the controllers is not possible, or at least not recommended, because of the proprietary (GSM) protocol.

Sources on the control.com website list Modbus/TCP, or a GE OPC server as possibilities. Communication drivers on the Citect/Plant SCADA side would then be MODNET, or OPC.
