Good day,
Did someone activated a Plant Scada Flex license on the Float License Manager (2.90) running with Citect 7.50 SP1 Patch38?
was it activated successfully?
did Citect acquire the license?
Thank you

I've only seen flex licenses in AEL form. Does your Activation ID start with A-? Then use the SE FLM. FLM V3.0 is the latest, you can download it from the SE website. If it doesn't start with A- it's an AEL flex license, which can only be used with V2023 (8.4) and V2023R2 (8.5). You can't use it with older versions.
Hi, thank you for the response, the Activation ID does not start with A-, it failed to activate on FLM. I think FLEX licenses are meant for AEL. Thank you.
Please note that Floating License Manager (FLM) was deprecated in Plant SCADA 2023 (8.4) and AEL is the preferred method to license the product going forward.
If you are using Plant SCADA 2020 R2 (8.3) and earlier, it may still be possible to license (active and deactivate) on FLM. There have been some changes to FLM and the activation server infrastructure and technology, so it is recommended to update to the latest FLM (v3.0.0.0 is the latest as of early 2025).
