Dear AVEVA,
An alliance partner has asked if AVEVA Plant SCADA supports WebGL2.
The latest version of Plant SCADA has a new Browser control, but can you confirm this will support Web GL2
Can you please advise.
Thanks.

Hi Kien,
We haven't done any formal testing of WebGL2 support. Under the bonnet we are using chromium.
I did a quick test of a few sites and it seems to work okay for the features those sites used;
Thanks for your prompt reply. I will share this link response.
I have also learned from Jacky,
Plant SCADA has a CEF based web control that allows users to visit a website or display a pdf file like Google browser.
Link to Chromium Embedded Framework Forum where users discussed how to enable WEBGL in CEF.
Yes the screenshot I showed you above is using the Web Control we will built for Plant SCADA 2023.
It is currently built on CEF(wrapper around chromium). The demo above was from a clean vanilla Windows 10 vm (hyperv) with PS2023 installed and the ExampleSA project modified to display two websites. There was no need to enable anything. As it can utilise GfX hw, you will probably need to make sure you have a decent gfx card capable of matching the features required by whatever you are rendering. As I said we haven't done WebGL testing (and do not plan to) so I can't give guidance on Gfx cards, etc.
Awesome!
Thanks for the detailed reply of scope. It certainly helps define what has been done / not done but use with own testing needed!
