Process Analyst trendline optics

Hello everybody,

I have a process analyst trend like:

In all panes I have one trend with a black background which is also highlighted in the object tree.

If a save this *.pav view the trendlines stay like this every time I open this page.

Maybe stupid question but: HOW do I get this trendline NOT having a black background?

Regards,

Jan Lonij

  • Hi  ,

You need to modify the Properties of the PA, specifically the background colour of Pane1, and then save the PAV file again to ensure the settings are saved correctly.

    Kind regards

    Olivier

  • Hi Jan,

Do you mean the "selection halo" around the pen itself? That doesn't look right at all. Is this running in a VM by any chance?

Does it normally look like that when you select this pen?

Possibly as a work-around, you maybe able to trap the "ViewLoadedSaved" event on the IProcessAnalyst interface and change the selection to a different pen (e.g. the first)

  • Hi Bradley,

Yes, I mean the selection halo around the pen.
If I select a pen in the trend chart the background will blacken.

Somehow always one pen stays this way, no way to de-select.

  • Hi Oliver,

Changing the background colour does not work.
If I change to white background I get a grey halo around the pen.
Changing back to my black rgb (45,45,45) values, I get the black (0,0,0) halo back.

  • Has anybody an answer how to resolve this?

  • Hi Jan,

Unfortunately you cannot de-select all pens. At least one pen has to be selected (the axis represent the selected pen).
You could potentially hack around it... e.g. add a "dummy" pen and always have that selected on open, but that doesn't really seem worth it for the confusion it would likely incur to the operators.
