genies, cicode files and equipment library files protection

Dear Experts,

We are delivering a project to a customer site. We want to protect our library (genies, Cicode files and equipment library files).

Can we manage to protect our source code and give the user the ability to use them (copy and paste) for minor maintenance/modification applications?

If not possible what other options we have?

    Hi  ,

    I'd recommend having a look at Document Number 000026346 or title "Minimum Project files to run Citect" to give you some guidance on how to remove config files and only provide files required to run.

    But this approach would not allow the end user to modify the project and compile it.

    You will want to do some extensive testing and experimentation, as new config files have been added to newer versions of the product.

    Let us know how you go and if you settle on a solution.
